On April 3, 2023, Team PRP announced that they had successfully executed a merger agreement with Midwest Automotive Trucking. This agreement consolidates the Team PRP and Midwest Runner networks allowing members of both networks the opportunity to openly trade without restriction. Midwest yards become Team PRP Affiliates and see no change to existing service schedules. Midwest Trucking will continue servicing member yards with trucking and warehouse service, however, by May 1, 2023, all billing for services and shipments will be administered by Team PRP.
“This acquisition serves to provide and protect the independent recycler’s opportunity to compete. Doubling the size of Team PRP will improve our branding, standardize shipping practices, and give visibility and accessibility to independent recycler’s inventories like we’ve never had before.”
Dan Snyder, Board of Directors Chairman of Team PRP
“This is monumental for our industry! In today’s world of consolidation, the landscape for independent recyclers is rapidly changing. By merging our networks, we become stronger together, thus solidifying the sustainability of the transportation system far into the future.”
Karl Milliron, Owner of Midwest
PARTNERING WITH RCD TO EXPAND THE CDC TRADING NETWORK
Current Midwest members will continue to trade with Recycler’s Cross Dock on CDC tags. As a result of the acquisition, all current Team PRP members will also now have the ability to trade with RCD facilities via the CDC network. RCD current membership consists of 69 facilities serviced by 7 hubs in the southeast USA and New England.
“In conjunction with the Team PRP / Midwest deal, Team PRP is working with RCD to expand the CDC exchange and offer new opportunities for trade among recyclers.”
Bo Wroten, Owner of RCD
